St. Magdalener

St. Magdalener is a typical South Tyrolean red wine made from Vernatsch and Lagrein grapes, of a pleasing colour that ranges from ruby to garnet. It has a wide pallet of fruity flavours, from almonds to wild cherries, which expand and intensify on the palate. It is delicate yet has a powerful structure. 

TERROIR: Vineyards at the hill of Santa Maddalena near Bolzano (200-250m.a.s.l.)

VINE TRAINING SYSTEM: Pergola and Guyot

VINIFICATION: Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

OPTIMAL AGEING: Up to 5 years

PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS: With typical South-Tyrolean dishes, light appetizers and meat dishes

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10° - 12°C

Lagrein

The Lagrein is an indigenous variety that produces a wine of great character. It is distinguished by its deep ruby color and aromas of wild berries and cherries. On the palate, it reveals a velvety richness, enhanced by a gentle, well-balanced acidity.

TERROIR: Heat reating moraine boulder soils in San Paolo (200-400m.a.s.l.)

VINE TRAINING SYSTEM: Pergola and Guyot

VINIFICATION: Maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

OPTIMAL AGEING: Up to 7 years

PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS: With braised meat, game dishes and cheese

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16° - 18°C

Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir ranks among the most important wines in the world and finds in our region the perfect conditions to express its full potential. Carefully tended and meticulously selected, this elegant and velvety wine evokes notes of red berries and wild cherries.

TERROIR: Moraine soils with a gravelly-limestone composition (350–500 m a.s.l.)

VINE TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot

VINIFICATION: Maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

OPTIMAL AGEING: Up to 5 years

PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS: With cheese and mushroom dishes as well as rabbits, veal and lamb dishes

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14° - 16°C
