St. Magdalener

 

St. Magdalener is a typical South Tyrolean red wine made from Vernatsch and Lagrein grapes, of a pleasing colour that ranges from ruby to garnet. It has a wide pallet of fruity flavours, from almonds to wild cherries, which expand and intensify on the palate. It is delicate yet has a powerful structure.

Lagrein

 

Lagrein is a native grape variety. The wine is immediately recognizable by its deep, dark colour. It ripens late and grows best only on warm, gravelly alluvial soils. This produces a strong, dense red wine of a unique big-bodied type found only in South Tyrol. Its intensive, fruity aroma is underscored by floral nuances of violets.

FERMENTATION: Fermentation on skins in stainless steel followed by maturation in large wooden barrels

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: game, dark meats, cheese

Pinot Nero

 

Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero/Noir) is undoubtedly one ot the world's most sophisticated and precious red wines. It has a charming density and elegance, convicing through its seductive aromas of small berries, wild cherries and fresh violets. It is soft and smooth on the palate with a noble, elegant finish.

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: Game, wild fowl, spring lamb, rabbit, aged cheeses

Merlot

 

Merlot is one of the great international wines. Its bouquet is marked by fruity aromas of cherries and berries. It is a pleasure on the palate with its soft tannin structure, long finish and harmonic fullness. Its special finesse is the result of its aging in large wooden barrels.

Cabernet

The Cabernet bouquet ranges from berries (blackcurrant and blackberry), paprika and liquorice. His vigorous and complex structure supported by a balanced acidity gives him a great potential for an aging wine.
